Together, we dug into the relationship between right-wing media outlet Real America’s Voice and host John Fredericks and Chinese fraudster billionaire Guo Wengui. We revealed how Guo’s network paid to get its operatives air time to push pro-Guo narratives and conspiracy theories.

Important Context got inside the network of exiled Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui. We exposed how operatives working for Guo recruited prominent Republican voices, including Donald Trump’s now-press secretary Karoline Leavitt, to write and/or sign their name to opinion pieces praising his various business ventures and painting him as a persecuted dissident—an image that was central to a $1 billion fraud scheme he was convicted in connection with in July 2024.
